BLAGOSILJAJTE I LJUBITE

Sudimo, dakle, sebe, i ne bivajmo tako gotovi i
brzi druge osuđivati. Čitajmo prilježnije i sa
velikom pažnjom presveto, božanstveno
Hristovo Jevanđelje, pak ćemo tu naći one reči:

„Ne sudite, da ne budete osuđeni!“

A to će reći:
ne mrzite i ne gonite druge, ako hoćete da niste
mrženi i gonjeni; ne proklinjite ako hoćete da
niste prokleti; blagosiljajte i ljubite, ako želite da
ste blagosloveni i ljubljeni; imajte mir moj i
ljubav moju ako ste radi da ste moji učenici i
braća moja, jer „ko sluša reč moju i ko vrši volju
onoga koji je mene poslao, taj je brat moj, i sestra, i mati moja“.

Budimo samo pravi hrišćani, pa ćemo i ovde, na zemlji, koliko je
moguće, biti srećni, i potom vo vjeki, amin!

BLESS AND LOVE
Dositej Obradović

Let us, therefore, judge ourselves, and not be so ready and quick to judge others. Let us read more diligently and with great attention the most holy, divine Gospel of Christ, and there we shall find these words:
“Judge not, that you be not judged!”

This means: do not hate or persecute others if you do not wish to be hated or persecuted; do not curse if you do not wish to be cursed; bless and love, if you wish to be blessed and loved; have My peace and My love if you are willing to be My disciples and My brethren, for:
“Whoever hears My word and does the will of the One who sent Me, he is My brother, and sister, and mother.”

Let us be true Christians, and then even here, on this earth, we shall be as happy as possible—and afterwards, forever and ever. Amen!
